6" Pothos - Satin H.B.
Scindapsus Pictus
Pothos are easy to care for, and have long, naturally trailing vines can also be trained to climb a support or trellis. They are very fast growing, with their vines growing up to 12 inches of length in a month. There is a wide variety of variations available with Pothos, differing combinations of yellow, white, and shades of green.
| | Pothos grow best in bright, direct light, but can grow in nearly any light. Too much shade will cause the variation of the leaves to fade, and too much direct sunlight will result in pale leaves and scorching. |
| | Pothos do not like constantly wet, moist, or damp soil. Allow the soil to dry out before watering thoroughly. Discard any excess water that drains out the bottom of the pot. Pothos will droop when they need water, but be careful not to wait until the leaves start to shrivel up or drop off the plant. Black spots on the leaves are a sign that the soil is being kept too wet, and brown edges on the leaves are a sign that the plant was kept too dry for too long. |
| | Pothos don't need fertilizer to grow well, but will benefit from a monthly application during the growing season (Spring and Summer). |
| | Because Pothos grow so quickly, they can quickly become sparce, leggy, or stretched looking. Pruning off the longer and leggier vines will help keep your plant looking healthier and bushier. Pruning should be done during the growing season, but not at all when the plant is dormant (Fall and Winter). |
