8" Ivy - Marengo H.B.

Hedera Canariensis

Like most other Ivy varieties, Marengo Ivy is a very fast, very aggressive grower. Ivy is a very easy plant to grown and maintain, as long as you stay ahead of their growth. They will grow in nearly any light conditions, though they do prefer moderately bright, indirect light. This ease of growing makes them an ideal plant for people who may lack a green thumb or with a busy schedule. Toxic to pets and people

Sun_PartialShade.png Marengo Ivy prefers to grow in partial to full shade, but does well in brighter light as well. Full direct sunlight can scorch and burn the leaves, so keep your plant out of full sunlight and away from very bright natural light.
Water2.png Regular watering and consistently moist soil will help your Ivy grow well. However, this Ivy can handle occasional periods of drier soil. Just watch the leaves of your plant. If they start to look dull and soft, and begin to droop, the soil is too dry and it's time to water your plant.
Fertilize Ivy every other week during the Spring and Summer with a 20-20-20 fertilizer. Do not fertilize your plant if it's stressed (conditions are too hot, too cold, or too dry) or if it isn't producing any new leaves
Ivy does not require regular pruning to grow well. However, since Ivy is such a strong and aggressive grower, regular pruning will help manage its size. Simply trim the vines to your desired length.
