6" Tradescantia - Baby Bunny Belly H.B.
Tradescantia Chrysophylla
Baby Bunny Bellies tends to trailing and creep, amking it perfect for both hanging baskets and displaying on shelves and mantles. This plant gets its name from its foliage: the leaves of this vine are soft with an almost velvety feel to them. The fuzzy feel of the foliage is not the only unique feature of this vine. Though the leaves are a vibrant green on top, the underside is a rich burgundy, almost purple colour. Because of the fuzzy leaves , watering from underneath your plant may be easier, especially if your plant has denser foliage.
| | Baby Bunny Bellies grows best in bright, indirect light. Keep your plant out of hot, direct sunlight, as this can burn the leaves. If your plant starts to look leggy, sparse, or stretched, more light (still indirect) may help promote denser plant growth. |
| | Water your plant regularly, allowing the top inch or so of soil to dry out before watering. To test, stick your finger into the soil to the first knuckle. If the soil feels dry, it's time to water. Discard any excess water that may drain out the bottom of the pot. |
| | Baby Bunny Bellies will benefit from a monthly application of diluted fertilizer once a month during the growing season (Spring and Summer). |
| | Trim your plant to maintain its size and shape. If your plant starts to look leggy, sparse, or stretched, prune off the thinner vines to promote thicker, healthier, bushier growth. |
